St. Martin's Episcopal School took a "destination-for-every-bidder" approach: nine HGA travel packages on the live auction, spanning seven different destinations across Italy, Costa Rica, Iceland, Mexico, Scotland, and Portugal. Matt Rogers handled the auctioneering.
Every single package found a winner. Tuscany for 6 and Porto each sold twice, the rest sold once. With HGA's consignment model, St. Martin's paid only the reserve on items that sold and owed nothing for any unsold inventory.
Why it worked
- A wide destination spread gave every bidder a reason to raise a paddle — Italy lovers, golfers, families, romantic-getaway couples.
- Stacking multi-winner-friendly packages (Tuscany, Porto) meant each one was a candidate to sell more than once.
- HGA's personalized booking team handled every winner the next morning — St. Martin's didn't field a single booking question.
